OUR WHY

Building responsible AI where it actually breaks: in decisions, oversight, and accountability.

Building responsible AI where it actually breaks: in decisions, oversight, and accountability.

We're here to make AI work for you by making sure you're meeting all governance & compliance requirements.

white and gray concrete building

AI implementation doesn't fail for technical reasons.

It fails when responsibility is unclear.

When the people expected to approve, oversee, and defend AI decisions lack the training to do so.

Over the last few years, AI has quietly moved from technical experimentation into real operational and strategic decisions. They now deeply affect customers, employees, and society at large.

And who's responsible?

Increasingly, these decisions now land on the desks of executives, partners, and boards, who often lack the necessary frameworks for judgment, escalation, or accountability.

VitruvianCo. was created to address that gap.

Not by adding more policy. Not by selling hype or fear.

But by helping organisations operationalise governance, and by training the leaders who must exercise oversight with clarity and confidence.

We make sure that AI doesn't fail for you.

We help you and your business clarify who owns the decision, what the risk actually is, or how it will be defended later.

We exist to make those questions answerable and transform your AI Governance into a competitive advantage for this new world.

  • Co-Founder

    João Alves

João brings 7+ years of experience at the intersection of law, philosophy, technology, and applied AI. He trained in Law & Jurisprudence in London, before working inside an early AI startup and later in investment banking, where he learned how professional services and regulated organisations actually make decisions under scrutiny. Most recently, he worked as a GenAI product specialist at AlphaSense, seeing first-hand how companies deploy AI, where governance breaks down, and why leaders struggle to approve AI with confidence. SydeDoor brings those perspectives together into a single, practical approach.

  • Co-Founder

    Alberto Alves

Alberto brings 30+ years of experience across law, governance, and regulated industries. He has advised founders, executives, investors, and families through complex legal and regulatory environments, and understands where accountability ultimately lands when things go wrong. His strength lies in connecting patterns across disciplines, cycles, and generations, and in knowing precisely where pressure and risk concentrate. SydeDoor reflects that long-view perspective on governance and responsibility.
